AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- <br />GINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 40-102(Z) PERTAINING TO HIS- <br />TORIC LIMITED BUSINESS SUBDISTRICT. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1973, be amended by adding subparagraph (3) to Section 40-102 <br />(I) to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (3) The Commission of Architectural Review may issue a <br />Certificate of Appropriateness, and thereafter the Building <br />Official may issue building and occupancy permits for resi- <br />dential dwelling units incorporated in structures where the <br />principal use is commercial or semi-commercial under terms <br />of Commercial C-i; provided that a dwelling unit containing <br />one bedroom shall incorporate no less than 400 square feet <br />of usable floor area therein, a dwelling unit with two bed- <br />rooms no less than 700 square feet and a d~-elling unit with <br />three bedrooms no less than 800 square feet. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of th~ City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held August 22t 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
