AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING- A PORTION OF UNN~fED ALLEY. · WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, mrgmnza, has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of a certain unnamed alley; and WHEREAS, by a Resolution of this Council adopted February 27, 1979, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1- 364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter- described portion of said alley and to report in writing whether in their opinion, any,. and if any, what inconvenience' woUldand result from dmscontznuing the below-described alley; WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported ~ -n writing that in their opinion no lnconven!ence would result from the closing and discontinuing of said alley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of said alley hereinafter-described be closed and vacated as a public alley. UNNamED ALLEY Beginning at the northeast z'nterseetion of Fawkes Street and Tyre Neck 'Road; thence in a northerly direction along the east side of Tyre Neck Road 142' to the True Point of Beginning; thence in an easterly d' lrectlon 416.04' to a point on the western right-of- way of the Seaboard Coas~ Line Railroad; thence along a curve to the left in a north- westerly direction along the aforesaid western railroad right-of-way approximately 417' to a point on the eastern side of Tyre Neck Road; thence southerly 16' to the True Point of Beginning. Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held March 27, 1979. · City Clerk
