AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING LA/~E: A PORTION OF UNNAMED LANE. WHEREASt the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has made application to vacate, close and dis- continue the hereinafter-described portion of a certain lane; and WHEREAS, by a Resolution of this Council adopted December 12, 1978, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Co~e of Virginia~ 1950, as amende~, to view the hereinafter-described portio~ of said lane and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from dis- continuing the below described lane; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported that in their opinion no inconvenience would the closing and discontinuing of said lane. in writing result from NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of said lane hereinafter-described be closed and vacated as a public lane. UNNAMED LANE Ail that certain parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, and comprising that portion of an Unnamed Lane between Elm Avenue and Arm- strong Street, and is more particularly described as follows, to-wit: PARCEL A Beginning at a point on the west side of Elm Avenue three hundred thirty- five and four tenths (335~4) feet southerly from the southwest corner of Spratley Street and Elm Avenue; thence west and parallel with Spratley Street one hundred forty-five (145) feet; thence south and parallel with Elm Avenue eight and nine tenths (8.9) feet to the southern line of lot 180 on the plan of the Parkview Land Company's purchase recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 3 at pages 14 and 15; thence east along the said
