(b) In the event that %he principal office of a bank <br />is located outside the boundaries of this City, and such <br />bank has branch offices located within the Cityr in addition <br />to the following requirements set forth in Section (a) hereof, <br />any bank conducting such branch business shall file with the <br />Commissioner of the Revenue of-this City, a copy of the real <br />estate deduction schedule, apportionment and other itmes which <br />are required by Sections 58-485.012, 58-485~O13 and 58-45.O14 <br />of the Code of Virginia. <br /> <br /> (c) Each bank, on or before the 1st day of June of <br />each year shall pay into the City Treasurer's office all <br />taxes imposed pursuant to this ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 34-243. Effective date of ordinance. <br /> <br /> The provisions of this ordinance shall be effective for <br />the year beginning January 1, 1980. <br /> <br />Section 35-244. Penalty upon bank for failure to comply with <br /> ordinance. <br /> <br /> Any bank which shall fail or neglect to comply with any <br />provision of this Article shall be fined not less than <br />One Hundred ($100.) nor more than Five Hundred ($500.) Dollars, <br />which fine shall be recovered upon motion, after five (5) days <br />notice in the Circuit Court of this City. The motion shall be <br />in the name of the City of Portsmouth and shall be presented <br />by the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> 2.
