1981-95 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO A~4END THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH~ <br />VIRGINIA~ 1973~ BY ~ENDING SECTION 40-31 THEREOF~ PERTAINING <br />TO THE OEFiNITiON O~' GRO~ i~ESIDE~CE <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 40-31 of the Code of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginma~ 1973, be ~ended, by changing the definition <br />of group residence to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 40~31. Definitions. <br /> <br /> GROUP RESIDENCE: A ~i~o~p residence shall consist of a <br />facility ~o provide group living accomodations for non-criminal <br />persons affected by age, mental health and/or physical dis- <br />abilities who reside together under the auspices of a public <br />or quasi-public organization devoted to the habitation and <br />social supervision of such persons. <br /> <br /> 2.
