AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTtONOF WALDR~N AVENUE. WHEREAS,~Gladys D. Harvey, Arthur J. Steward and Laura Stunnette have made application to vacate and close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion'of Waldron Avenue; and W~EREAS, by resolution 'of this Council adopted November 25, 1980, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1- 364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view 'the hereinafter- described portion of Waldron Avenue and to repor~~ in'writing whether in their opinion any, andif any, what- inconvenience would result from discontinuing the said street; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have rePorted in.writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the'hereinafter~described portion of Waldron Avenue be closed and ~acated as a public street. WALDRON 'AVENUE Beginning atthe southeast intersection of Waldron Avenue and~Deep Creek Boulevard as shown on the plat or-"Virginia Place", recorded in Map Book 17, page 73, in-the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of 'Chesapeake, Virginia, and thence running in an easterly direction along the southern side of Watdron Avenue approximately 420', whichis the northeast corner of Lot 17 as shown on said plat'; thence northerly 30' along the same line as if the eastern line of said Lot 17 had been extended in a northerly direction to a point on the northern side of Waldron Avenue~ thence in a westerly direction along the northern side of Waldron Avenue to Deep Creek Boulevard; thence southerly 30' along the boundary of Deep Creek Boulevard to the Point of Beginning.
