AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 19-44 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, PERTAINING TO THE LAW LIBRARY ASSESS- <br />MENT. <br /> <br /> BE ~ ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 19-44 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia~ 1973, be amended and reordalne~ to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section !9-44. Amount. <br /> <br /> There is hereby imposed for the Law Library Fund an assess- <br />ment as part of the costs incident to each civil action filed <br />in the Circuit Court, located within the boundaries of the City, <br />the sum of two dollars ($2.00), and for each civil action filed <br />in the District Courts, located within the boundaries of the City, <br />the sum of one dollar ($1.00). <br /> <br />2.
