AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY ADDING SECTION 7-35.1 TO CHAPTER 7 <br />THEREOF, PERTAINING TO BURIAL VAULTS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1973, be amended by adding Section 7~35.1 thereto to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 7-35.1. <br /> <br />Burial Vaults. <br /> <br /> Every grave opening sh~! contain a burial container <br />or vault, which burial container or vault shall be so con- <br />structed of metal, stone, or reenforced concrete, and so <br />installed as to effectively prevent settling of the ground, <br />lot or grave site. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held October 12, 1982. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
