AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF MASCOTT BOULEVARD. STREET AND FREDERICK WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia has made appli- cation to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portions of certain streets; and WHEREAS, by a Resolution adopted by this Council on July 27, 1982, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter- described portion of said streets, and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from discontinuing said streets; and WHEREAS, the said vieWers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenmence would result from the closing and discontinuing of said streets. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that those portions of said hereinafter- described streets be closed and vacated as public streets. MASCOTT STREET (FORMERLY CLOVER STREET) Ail that certain portion of Mascott Street (formerly Clover Street) shown on the attached plat entitled "Plat Showing Existing City of Portsmouth Right-of-Way To Be Vacated", dated April 20, 1982, prepared by the Engineering and Technical Services Department of the City of Portsmouth, Virgmnia, as parcels B, C and D. FREDERICK BOULEVARD Ail that certain portion of Frederick Boulevard shown on the attached plat entitled "Plat Showing Existing City of Portsmouth Right-of-Way To Be Vacated", dated April 20, 1982, prepared by the Engineering and Tech- nical Services Department of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as parcel A. (S-82-8) BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth reserves unto itself perpetual easements, rights and privileges to in- stall, maintain, operate and replace gas mains, sewer mains, sewer drains, sanitary sewers, storm drains, water mains and laterals, electric power lines and telephone lines within, over, under and across those portions of the hereinabove- described streets.
