1982-61 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 40-102 (B) (9), PERTAINING <br />TO APPROVAL OF ROOFING MATERIALS IN ~HE CRADOCK ~2~ TRUXTUN <br />HISTORIC RESIDENTIAL SUBDISTRICTS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 40-102 (B)' (9) be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />(9) <br /> <br />Historic Residential Subdistricts Cradock and <br />Truxtun: <br /> <br /> The Secretary of the Commission of Architectural Review <br /> may in any historic residential subzone dealing with "Cradock" <br /> and "Truxtun", issue-in accord with the provisions of this <br /> Chapter of the City ~ode certain certificates of appropriate- <br /> c r f e to issue~such a certificate <br /> n r Y forward the application to <br />the Commission of Architectural Review. A written report <br />shall accompany any such application. The Commission of <br />Architectural Review may issue a certificate of appropriate- <br />ness. The Secretary sha.ll, in writing, report to the Commission <br />of Architectural Review at each regular meeting on all cert- <br />ificates so issued. <br /> <br /> The Secretary of the Commission of Architectural Review <br />may approve the followi~%g items (when colors, materials, types <br />and designs conform with those defined by the Commission of <br />Architectural Review): <br /> <br />(a) Paint colors; <br /> <br />(b) Exterior doors; <br /> <br />(c) Windows; <br /> <br />(d) Fences; <br /> <br />(e) Stoz/5 windows and doors; <br /> <br />(f) Vinyl or aluminum siding; <br /> <br />(g) Roof shingles or roof covering materials <br /> provided that there is no change in the <br /> design or contour of the roof. <br /> <br /> <br />
