AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF KING STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 21st High Properties by attorney Howard E. <br />Gordon, has made applicate to vacate, close and discontinue <br />the hereinafter-described portion of King Street; and <br /> <br /> WI{EREAS, by a resolution of this Council adopted March <br />22, 1983, viewers were appointed pursuant to §15.1~364, Code <br />of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described <br />portion of King Street and to report in writing whether in their <br />opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from <br />discontinuing said street; and <br /> <br /> ~F~EREAS~ the said viewers have reported in writing that <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing <br />and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described portion <br />of King Street be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />KING STREET (S-83-1) <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of King Street ex- <br />tending from the western right-of-way of Williams- <br />burg Avenue in a westerly direction approximately <br />375' <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth re- <br />serves unto itself perpetual easements, rights and privileges <br />to install, maintain, operate and re~l&ce gas mains, sewer <br />mains, sewer drains, sanitary sewers, stor~ drains, water <br />mains and laterals, electric power lanes and telephone lines <br />within, over, under and across the hereinafter-described <br />portion of King Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held April 12, 1983. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk' <br /> <br /> <br />
