AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF REED AVENUE AND A 30 UNNAMED STREET ON T,u~ SOUTH SiDE OF AIRLINE BOULEVARD. FOOT WHEREASr Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has made aoplication~_ to vaca~=~ close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portions of certain streets; and WHEREAS! by resolution of this Council adopted June 14, 1983, viewers were appointed pursuant to ~15.1~364, Code of Virginia, 1950~ as amended~ to view the hereinafter-described portions of said streets and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any~ %~hat inconvenience would result from discontinuing said street~ and WHEREAS, said viewers have reoorted in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience wou~d result from the closing and discontinuing of sa!a'~ st~e~.~ ~ NOW~ T~R~O~~, BE IT ORDAINED b~ the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vi~ginis that those portion~ of said streets hereinafter-described be closed and vacated as public streets. REED AVENUE Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, comprising that portion of Reed Avenue as shown on a plat entitled "Plat Showing Portion Of Reed Avenue To Be Closed For Portsmouth Re- development And Housing Authority", preparsd by Engineering and Techincal Services Department, City of Portsmouth, Virginia, dated March 8, 1983, a copy of wh£ch is attached hereto.
