WHEREAS, the application of Seaboard Air Line Railroad Company to <br /> <br />vacate, close and discontinue those portions of King and County Streets <br /> <br />which lie east of Water Street has been referred to the Planning and Zoning <br /> <br />Commission for investigation and report, and said Commission has recommended <br /> <br />the closing of the said portions of King and County Streets, and it appear- <br /> <br />ing that notice of the application and request for the appointment of viewers <br /> <br />was duly posted at the front door of the Court House on the first day of the <br /> <br />September Term of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, and on <br /> <br />the front door of the Railway Express Agency, southwest corner of County and <br /> <br />Water Streets, and on the concourse at the rear of the Seaboard Air Line <br /> <br />Railroad Company's passenger station at the northeast corner of King and <br /> <br />Water Streets, at least five days prior to this meeting; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br />Virginia, that _____________________________, _______________________________, <br /> <br />_______________________________, _____________________________________ and <br /> <br />_______________________________, be appointed viewers to view said streets <br /> <br />and report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if <br /> <br />any, what inconvenience would result from discontinuing the aforementioned <br /> <br />portions of King and County Streets.
