V~{EREAS. this Council has accepted with regret the resignation of <br />Vice ~iayor H. Earl Weiseman from the office of Councilman, zaid retirement <br />£ro~ public affairs being compelled by reasons of health; and <br /> <br /> WHERFAS, during eighteen years in the office of Councilman, H. Earl <br />Weiseman has served well and crue the interests of this City and its inhabi- <br />tants, has g~ven countless hours of his time in attending council meetings, <br />con£erenees, committee meetings and other public functions and throughout <br />those years has flavored the o££icial actions o£ this City with his gentle- <br />manly and Christian spirit; and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, in addition co his aforesaid tenure of office and without <br />detraction therefroE in any manner, H. Earl Weiseman also rendered great ser- <br />vice To this City and his fellow citizens by active and faithful participa- <br />tion in numerous religious, civic and other organizations. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth. Virginia, that the appreciation of the citizens of this City for the <br />services rendered by H. Earl Weiseman as Councilman and Vice Mavor of this <br />City be expressed and conveyed to the said H. Earl Weiseman, an~ that he is <br />hereby congratulated upon his splendid record of accomplistuments during his <br />legislative career, <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of these resolutions be spread <br />upon the minuces of the City Council, and a copy be presented co the said H. <br />Earl Weiseman. <br /> <br />Adopted au a meeting of City Council held February 27, 1962. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br /> <br />
