WHEPd2.A~ The application ef P. H. Boyette, Jr, and Company, <br />Incorporated, to vacate, clbse and discontinue that portion of Columbia <br />Street lying between a line parallel to and two feet east of the prolong- <br />ation southward of the dividing line between Lots six (6) and eight (8) <br />in 8lock One Hundred Fifty-five (155) on the plat of Virginia Realty and <br />Investment Company~ recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court <br />of Norfolk County in ~p Book 7~ pages 98, 99 and 100, and a line drawn <br />from the northwest corner of Columbia Street and Frederick Boulevard to <br />the southwest corner of Columbia Street and Airline Boulevard~ has been <br />referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for investigation and <br />report, and said Commission has recommended the closing of the said portion <br />of Columbia Street, and it appearing that notice of the application and <br />request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on the first day of <br />tbe term of court of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, held on the 2Otb day of December~ 1962, on the bulletin board of <br />the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of <br />the ~uni~ipat Building of the City of Portsmouth, and on a telephone pole <br />within the area of the said portion of Columbia Street, at least five days <br />prior to this meet ~g. <br /> <br /> NOW ~iE~EFORE, B~ IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> Portsmouth, Virginia, that: <br /> <br />he.appointed ¥i~wers ::to view said street and report to this Council in <br />writing whether:in their Opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience would <br />result, from discontinuing the aforementioned portion of Columbia Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting keld December 27, 1962. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
