WMJ~RBAS. an assassin's buzie~ brought about the untimely death <br />of the thirty-fifth President of the United States. John Fitzgerald Kennedy; <br />and <br /> <br /> ~}{~P~AS~ as a result of this tragedy~ this nation and the entir~ <br />world has suffered a loss that cannot be expressed in m~re words; and <br /> <br /> WHERE., the courage of the family of the late John Fitzgerald <br />Kennedy in this their hour of sorrow has been an inspiration to al!. <br /> <br /> NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia~ that the heartfelt sympathy of the citizens of this <br />City be and hereby is extended to the family of our beloved President. the <br />late Jokm Fitzgerald Kennedy. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOL~fED that these resolutions be spread upon the <br />minutes of the Council and thaZ a copy thereof be forwarded to the family <br />of the deceased. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />meeting held November 26, 1963. <br /> <br />Virginia, at a <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
