WHEREAS~ The application of Charles Judson Sawyer and <br />Edith J. Sawyers Louisa Johnston and James A. Johnston, Jr., <br />Frmnce$ E. Johnston, Ivan G. Fisk and Mary E. Fisk to vacate, <br />close and discontinue that portion of Westmoreland Avenue lying <br />between the south line of Bart Street and a line I08.S feet south <br />thereof, has been referred te the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />for investigation mnc report., and said Commission has recommended <br />the closing of the said street and it appearing that notice of <br />the application mud request for the appointment of viewers was <br />duly posted on the first day of the term of court of the Court of <br />Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, held on the 17th <br />day of October, 1963, on the bulletin board of the Court of <br />Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of the <br />Circuit Cou~t of the City of Portsmouth: Virginia, and on the <br />bulletin board of the Municipal Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at least five days prior to this meeting: <br /> <br /> NOg', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that: <br /> <br />be appointed viewers to view said street and report to this Council <br />in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any~ what inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing the aforementioned street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held November 12, 1963. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
