WIDF2~ING ~2~D ~.~ROV~2 OF STATE HIGH%'~AY ROUTE 58 <br />FROM TPB LN'i~SECTION OF AIRLIiI~ TtP~IY~ ~I~D HIGH STREET TO THE LNII~- <br />SECTION OF LOkI)ON D2~D ~-~FLNGH~{ STREm~PS. <br /> <br /> W~°~ in cooperation with the Federal and State governTmn~s, <br />State Highway Route 58 is being constructed, widened and Lmproved from <br />the intersection of Airline ~omnpike and High Street to the intersection <br />of Lotion and Effingham Streets in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, one of the obligations of the City of Portsmouth with <br />respect to said project is the provision of the land necessary for the <br />construction; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has found it to be necessary <br />to acquire the interest hereinafter specified in and to ~he hereir~ter <br />described parcels of l~ud situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, for <br />the purpo~ se of constructing, widening and improving the aforesaid State <br />Highway Route 58~, and <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth has not been able to purchase <br />the property described herein, necessary to the project, because the <br />owners thereof ar~ the City have not been able to agree upon the price tO <br />be paid therefor, or the City has not been able to locate certain of the <br />owners or ~because of the status of the title of certain pancets of the <br />property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, advancement of the work and use of said State Highway <br />Route 58 will be delayed unreasonably if the said property is not rode <br />available as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> <br />
