WHEREAS, Section 33-1~6.1 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, <br /> authorizes the State Highway Co~mission to participate in the cost of <br /> construction of industrial access roads; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to a change in circumstances, the City of <br /> Portsmouth does not now intend to build an industrial access road from <br /> Victory Boulevard to Airline Boulevard as set forth in a certain resolu- <br /> tion adopted November 22, 1966; and <br /> <br /> : WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth now proposes to construct an <br />industrial access road along the north side Of Interstate 264 from <br />Victory Boulevard to Laigh Road; sad <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City is willing to do what is necessary on its <br />part to construct the said industrial access road. <br /> <br /> NOW, THER~WORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portamouth, Virgir~ia, that the State Highway Commissio~ is requested to <br />participate in the construction of an industrial access road~- pursuant <br />to section 33-136.1 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, which said road will <br />be located along the north side of Znterstate 264 from Victory Boulevard <br />to Laigh Road. ~1 <br /> <br /> BE IT ~HER RESOLVE~, that the City of Portsmouth agrees: <br /> 1. to acquire the necessary right of way by donation or <br /> by purchase using funds, Other than ir~ustrial access <br /> funds, available to it from its general revenues; <br /> <br /> 2. -to adjust any utilities located within the proposed <br /> right of way at no cost to the state; an~ <br /> <br /> <br />
