RESOLUTION APPOINTING ¥i~WERS FOR CLOSING AN <br />UNNAMED STRm~i~ ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SOUTH S~£ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cherry Realty Corporation and Portsmouth Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority have made application to vacate and close that <br />hereinafter described portion of a certain street located on the South <br />side of South Street sand.it appe~ that notice of the application <br />and request for the appointn~nt of Viewers was duly posted' on December <br />21, 1968, on the bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City <br />of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of the C,ircuit Court of the City <br />of Portsmouth, and on the bul.letin board of tne Mumlcipal Court of the <br />City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, %/qEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that Luther Tapp, James Choate, Joseph. Kiss, <br />Zalmon I. Blackman and Nellie K. Walke be appointed viewers to view <br />the hereinafter described portion of a certain unnamed street and <br />report to this Council in writing whether in their ooinion any, and <br />if any, what inconvenience would result from vacating mud closing <br />the following portion of the specified street.~ <br /> <br />That certain forty foot roadway leading from the South <br />side of South Street South to the property formerly be- <br />longing to the City of Portsmouth for use as the City <br />Incinerator, the center line' of which is described as <br />beginning at a point on the South side of South Street <br />seventy-six feet fifteen inches from the Southeast inter- <br />section of South Street and Prentis Avenue; thence South <br />17014 '47" East two hundred four feet to the Southern <br />boundary line of Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housirg <br />Authority Project VA 1-5, and is the last street dedi- <br />cation on page 3 of that certain deed of dedication <br />duly recorded in Deed Book 273, page 182, Clerk's Office <br />of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia. <br /> <br /> A~opted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held <br /> <br />Test~: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
