Definition of Terms. <br /> <br /> As used in this article, the following mentioned terms <br />shall have the following described meanings: <br /> <br /> (a) The term "co~mission,: means the civi~ service com- <br />mission herein created, and the term "commissioner" means any one <br />of the three members of that commission. <br /> <br /> (b) The term"ap~omntlngO ' ' power'~· shall mean the city <br />manager, or other officer with appointing authority or his duly <br />autho[ized representative. <br /> <br /> (c) The t~ " ' ,' <br /> ~rm appointment, includes all means of selec- <br />tions, appointing or employing any person to hold any office, <br />place~ position, or employment to civil service. <br /> <br />11.18. Penalties. <br /> <br /> Any person who shall wilfully violate any of the civil <br />service provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a <br />misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a <br />fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than one <br />'thousand dollars or by imprisonment in the city Jail for not <br />longer that one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br />The court of original and unlimited jmrisdiction in criminal <br />matters shall have jurisdiction of all such offenses definsd <br />by this article. If such convicted person be in the classified <br />service he shall be dismissed therefrom by the court in addition <br />to .any penalty imposed hereunder[ ' <br /> <br /> ARTICLE XII <br /> <br />12.01. <br /> <br /> Miscellaneous <br /> <br />Present Ordinances and Rules <br />In Effect. <br /> <br />and Regulations Continued <br /> <br /> All ordinances of the city and all rules~ regulations <br />and orders legally made by any department~ board, commission or <br /> <br /> <br />
