N-7(G)~ BEi~ CIiY OF_ PORTSi~0C.%~ JU~ THE N,IIT~ STATES OF BMERICA, P~mRTAINING TO A Cw_fI~TAI_J~ }~IG~0RHOOD FACILITIES GR~P DESIG~m~ PROJECT NO. VA. N-7. ~S un~er Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, the United States of America (herein called the "Government") has tendered to City of Portaz~at~ (herein called the "Public Bcdy") a proposed Grant Contract pursuant to which the Gover~nent would extend certain financial assist- ance to the Public Body in co.nm, ection with the program described therein; WHERL~S the t~ablic Body has given due consideration to said proposed con- tract; and WHYS the Po. blic Body is duly authorized, under and p~arsuam, t to the Constitution and laws of the Cau,nonweslth of Virginia~ to mndertake amd carry out said project smd to execute such proposed contract. BE IT RESOLVE~ BY ThUg CODT~TCiL OF ~ CiTY OF PORTg.'tO~Ji~ VLRGINIA~ AS FOL- LOWS: 'Section 1. Tne proposeJ. Contract, desJgr~.ted "Neighborhood Facilities C.rant Contract~ Contract No. VA. N-?(G)~" providirg for the m~king by the Govern- merit to the P~blic Body of a Neighborhood Facilities Grant urJer Title I of the Hcmsing Act of 1949~as mmended~ in co.m~ection with the progra~ des- cribbed therein and designated as th~oject No, VA. N-7 is her~oy in all res- pects appro~ed. ~ection 2. ~ne City ?,~mqager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said proposed Contract in t~,,~o counterparts on behalf of the Public Bedy~ and tLae City Clerk is hereby authorized ar~ directed to i~©ress ea~d attest the official seal of the P~blic Bcdy on each such counterparts and to for-- weird such counterparts to the De,c-artment of Hgo. si~g and Urb°~n Develo~ent together-with such other doc'~ments relative to the approval arr. J execution thereof as m~y be requir~ by the Government. Section 3. ~%ae City Ma ~nag?er is hereby authorized to file rec~aisition~ to- gether with necessary supportipg doco~ments with the C-overr~ment~ in accord- ance with the Contract~ requestins pa)r..~ents to be made on account of the J%eighborhood Facilities C.rant provided for in the Contract arJ to do or perform all other thirgs ~ acts re,faired to be done or performed in order to obtain such payments. Section ~. ~i~is R~sotution shall take effect i~ediately.
