RESOLUTION COMME~])ING JOHN T. KIX FOR HIS EFFORTS ~N CONNECT±ON <br /> ?z ImUS m Om OPMm CIT FO SMOUTH. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John T. Nix ~as been in the forefront of the <br /> ~rt and industrial development of the City. of PortsmOuth for <br />~ny years; ar~ ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, largely through his sole efforts, one of the <br />'~nest ~marine terminals in the world has been ~uilt in Portsmouth; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said John T. ~Nix bas been instrumental in <br />%u~therir~ the industrial development of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br /> [ty of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the ~preciationof the~citi- <br /> ~ens of Portsmouth be hereby expressed to the said John T. Nix <br /> ~or~,~he economic benefits whic~ ~ave accrued to the'City of Ports- <br /> ~ouzn as a ~esult of his untirmng efforts in the fields of port <br />~smd industrzal development~ ~ <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be <br />presented to the said JohnT.
