~RF~SO±,eTIOi~ ,~PPOI[N~'iNG VI.~i~f~IS FOR C~OS~_~G OP' A PORfTiON OF F!TZG~'~.D ~F~AS, -~]e School Board of the City of Z~o_?~smouth has made application to vacate and close vhe hereinafter described portion of Fitzgerald Street and it appearing that notice of the appiica5ion and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on Decen~er 9, 1969, on the bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin board of the Circuit ~oumt of the City of Portsmouth, and on the bulletin board of the ~u~-~.cipai Court of the City of Partsmouth. NOW,T~RE~ORE, BE IT RESOL\m~D by the ~tuncii of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, L. A. Clarke, Luther Tapp~ J~es ¥. McGehee and James Choate be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of Fitzgersfi.d Stra~t mhd re~o~ to this council in v~iting whether in their opinion any, and if what in~convehience would result from vacating-and closirg the follow- ing portions of the specified streets: Ail that certain potion of Fitzgerald (fommerly Lee) Street more psu~ticulamly described as follows, to-wit: Be~ning at the southeast intersection of Fitzgerald (formerly Lee) Street ~ad now or fo~r!y M~mly Street and thence ~-~a~ing in a southerly direction along the easterly side of Fitzgerald (-formerly Lee) Street a distmnee of 100 feet to a~ point~ thence .~-m~r~ west- terly along a l~ne pe~oendicular to the said side of Fitzgerstd Street a distam~ce of 60 feet to a point the westerly side of Fitzgerald Street~ thence r~mming in a northerly direction ~1o?~ the westerly side of Fitzgerald Street a dis~amce of !00 feet to a thence ru~ in an easterly direction along a line perpendic~ts-~ to the wesverly side of Fitzgerald Street a distance of 60 feet vo the point of begi~_ning.
