A .RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF <br />RAILROAD AVE~JE BETWEEN DEEP CREEK BOULEVARD AND <br />PORTS~,~OUTH BOULEVARD AND FOR THE CLOSING OF TWO UN- <br />NAMED ALLEYS IN THE SAME GENEP~AL AREA. <br /> <br /> WI~EREAS, Angelina Eates, Louis J. Eates, Frank P. Eates <br />and Norfolk and Portsmouth Belt Line Railroad Company have made <br />application to vacate and close the hereinafter described portions <br />of a certain street and two unnamed alleys and it appearing that <br />'notice of the application and request for appointment of viewers <br />was duly posted on September 30, 1970 on the bulletin board of <br />the~Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the bulletin <br />board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, and on the <br />bulletin board of the Municipal Court Civil Division of the City <br />of Portsmouth~ ' <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, that Frank N. Bilisoly, L. A. <br />Clark, Luther Tapp, James Choate and Loyed W. Gardner be appoint- <br />ed viewers to view the hereinafter described portions of a ~street <br />and twe unnamed alleys and report to this Council in writing whe- <br />ther in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would <br />result from vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> 1'. Railroad Avenue lying between Portsmouth Boulevard <br />on the South and Deep Creek Boulevard on the North. <br /> <br /> 2. A certain 10 foot allel~?-ay which runs generally ~n an <br />East-West direction through Block 7, as shown on the plat of Piedmont <br />Heights, recorded in Map Book 4, pag~ 52, in the Clerk's Office of <br />the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, which alley-_ <br />way to be closed is more particularly described as bounded on the <br />West by the easuern right of way line.of Railroad Avenue and on <br />the East by a prolongation to-the South of the eastern property <br />line of Lots 30 and 3I in said Block 7 as sho~.~n on ~he plat afore- <br />said. <br /> <br /> 3. A certain 10 foot alley, which runs generally in a <br />North-South direction, through Block 7, as sho~ on said plat of <br />Piedmont Heights, which alleyway to be closed is more particularly <br />described as bounded on the North by the southern right of way line <br />of Deep Creek Boulevard and on the South by a pro!on~ation to the <br />West of the southern property line of Lot 9 in said Block 7, as <br />shown on the p%at aforesaid. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held on October 13~ 1~70. <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
