A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT FOR THE~ ~PERATION OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE STATION A. TS~ CORN.ER OF MEANDER ROAD AND HIGH STREET WHEREAS, Petroleum Marketing Corporation of Washington, D. C. has made application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Crdinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use p~rmit as kereinafter described; and WHEREAS~ the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said ap- plication, and the Planning Commission has recommended the grant- ing of said use permit, -subject to the cenditions hereinafter stated. ~OW, ~EREFOREr BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of th~ City of Portsmouth, Virginia: A. That the use for which the ~se permit hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely affect the health or s~fety~ of persons residing or workin~ in the neighborhood of 'the (2) will not be detrimental to the public ~elfare to property or improvements in the neighborhood, be in accord with the gurposes of said Zoning Ordi- proposed use, or injurious and (3) will hanes. B. That Petroleum Marketing C6rporation of Washing- ton., D. C'. is hereby granted a use permit subject to site plan ~estrictions pursuant to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance for the'operation of an automotive service station located on property described as follows: ~eginning at a point 6n~the nort~wes.t inter- section of High Street and Meander Road; thence running West along the northern right of way line of High Street 181.30 feet to a point~ thence running North ~156 feet to a point~ thence ru~ning East 65.87 fee~ to a point on the southwestern right of way line of Meander Road; thence running southeaster- ly along said southwestern ~ight of way line of ~ean~r Eoad 194.06 feet to the point of ginla, beginning.
