RESOLUTION IN COMMEMORATION OF WILLIAM <br /> (BUCK) JORDAN. <br /> <br /> ~EREAS,-Almighty God has seen fit to call unto <br />H~mself William S. (Buck) Jordan to share in the 3oys of <br />eternal life; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, for more than thirty-five years Buck <br />Jordan voluntar%ly devoted many hours in helping the <br />membe=s of the Portsmouth Fire Department fight fires; <br /> <br /> ~V~EREAS, the community has suffered-a great loss <br />in the passing of Buck Jordan, who had dedicated his life <br />in helping others, especially, the firefighters, of this <br /> <br />city; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the sympathy of <br />this body, acting for the citizens of this City, be and <br />hereby is extended to the family of the late William S. <br />(Buck),.Jordan. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESQLVED that this resolution be <br />//spread upon the minutes cf the Counc'il and thau a co=~ be <br /> presented tc the family of the deceased. <br /> <br /> Adopte~ by the ~ouDcll of the City of <br />Virginia, at a meeting held January 12, 1971. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
