33 A RESOLUTI©N AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~ANAGER TO SELL CERTAIN SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF GLASGOW STREET APPROXI~-5~TELY FIFTY-EIGHT FEET EAST FROM TIiE NORTH- EAST INTERSECTION OF GLASGOW STREET AND POTO~-~tC AVENUE ~[D TO ACCEPT THEREFOR THE DID OF FRANK C. MITCHELL AS TENDERED. B~EREAS, the hereinafter described property is no longer necessary for City use and is, therefore, declared to be surplus; and ?~EREAS, the City desires to sell same; and WiIEREAS, the sale of said property has been duly advertised and a bid has been received in accordance with Section 2.O9(b) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth; and hereto~ sale. ~EREAS, the bid, (a copy of which is attached was submitted in response to said advertisement of NOW, TIiEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the' City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to sell the following described property: Ail those certain lots, pieces, or parcels of land situate in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, known, numbered and designated as Lots 10, and tl as shown on the plat of a subdivision into lots of land of the West Port Norfolk Land Company, duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake (formerly Norfolk County, Virginia), in Map Book 6, page 81, to which reference is hereby made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to accept the bid of Frank C. Mitchell and is authorized to execute all documents necessary to close such transaction and convey said land to Frank C. Mitchell within a reasonable period of time.
