49 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY i~A~AGER TO ACCEPT THE BID OF <br /> PROPERTY <br />RIVERVIEW TOW~ S, INC. TO PURCHASE CERTAIN CITY-O~%~ED <br /> (LAKE KILBY TRACT). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held March 19~ 1973 resolved to authorize <br />the City Manager to advertise for sale cextain City-owned pro- <br />perty hereinafter described; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City l~nager has caused the said property <br />to be advertised upon certain terms in accordance with the afore- <br />said resolution; and <br /> WHEP~EAS, Riverview Towers, Inc. has submitted a bid <br />in response to said advertisement, such bid being above the <br />minimum bid stated and being the highest of all bids submitted. <br /> NOW, T~LEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br /> City of Ports~Duth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br /> hereby is authorized to accept the bid or Riverview Towers, Inc., <br /> and to execute all necessary legal documents incidental to the <br /> sale and conveyance of the ~oilowing described property: <br /> Ail that certain parcel of land situate <br /> partly ~n the ~ity o~f I~a~s~e~ond, ¥irgin$a, <br /> (formerly Nansemond County) and partly ~n <br /> the City of Suffolk, Virginia, and more fully <br /> described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at a monument on the northern <br /> right-of-way of Maryland Avenue located 12 <br /> feet from the intersection of the said north- <br /> ern right-of-way with the western ri~h~-of-way <br /> of Princeton Road; thence S 17~32'55 W, parallel <br /> with the western right-of-way of Princeton Road, <br /> a distance of 582.8 feet to the intersection of <br /> the 1928 corporate line of Suffolk with the line <br /> of the (%hen) County of Nansemond; thence S 42~ <br /> 33'04" W along the (then) Nans~mond line, a dis- <br /> tance of 115.80 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGIN- <br /> NING for all that property bounded by: thence <br /> N 67~31'37'' W, a distance of 247.66 feet to a <br /> point; thence N 77~35'09'' W, a distance of 124.0 <br /> feet to a point; thence N 75~36'11'' W~ a dis- <br /> tance of 195.34 feet to a point; thence N 47~ <br /> 28'~3'~ W, a distance of 240.30 feet to a point; <br /> thence N 29~0!'45'~ W, a distance of 130.45 feet <br /> to a point; thence S 44~44'43" W a distance of <br /> 186.20 feet to a point; thence S 36~i9'34'' E a <br /> <br /> <br />
