22 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE VIRGINIA ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL <br />BOARD TO ALLOW THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH UNTIL TWO A.M. MONDAY TEROUGH SATURDAY DURING THE <br />PERIOD OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the sale of alcoholic beverages in the City <br />of Portsmouth is now permitted until One A.M. during the period <br />of daylight saving time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth desires <br />that the sale of such beverages be allowed until Two A.M. on <br />Monday through Saturday during the period of daylight saving <br />time. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia', that the Virginia Alcoholic Bever- <br />age Control Board be and hereby is strongly urged to permit the <br />sale of alcoholic beverages in the City of Portsmouth until Two <br />A.M. on Monday through Saturday during the period of daylight <br />saving time. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be, and <br /> he hereby is, directed to forward a copy of this resolution to <br /> the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> ginia, at a-meeting held March 27, 1973. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
