61 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CERTAIN CITY- OWNED PROPERTY TO THE PORTSMOUTH INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth desires to sell to the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority a certain parcel of land hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the said parcel of land constitutes surplus property and is no longer needed by the City of Portsmouth; and WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority desires to purchase the said property in order.to utilize the land for industrial development purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey to the Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority the below-described parcel of land and to perform all acts and execute all documents incident to such conveyance: Ail that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, virginia, and more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at the northwest intersection of Columbus Avenue~and Randolph Street; thence running S 78Q29'49" W a distance of 833.45 feet along the northern right of way line of Randolph Street to a point; thence. N 42"05'36" E a distance of 321.98 feet to a point; thence N 44Q28'43'' E a distance of 415.51 feet to a point; thence N 50"43'20" E a distance of 152.00 feet to a point; thence S 37"27'44" E a distance of 81.66 feet to a point; thence N 86"40~01'' E a distance of 9.14 feet to a point in the western right of way line of Columbus Avenue; thence South along a curve to the left having a radius of 633.80 feet a distance of 226.81 feet to a point, said curve being the western right of way line of Colum- bus Avenue; thence continuing along said west- ern right of way line S 23°50'11" E a distance of 198.80 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; the property being~ more fully shown on that certain plat entitled "Plat Showing Property Owned by City of Portsmouth, Virginia, near Dale Homes," dated January 10, 1968, and 'pre- pared by the Department of Public Works, City of Portsmouth, Virginia.
