A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A GROUP HOME BETWEEN AIRLINE BOULEVARD AND RACE STREET. W~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made an application pursuant to'Section 40-67 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said application~ and the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: ~. ~ha~ the~use ~or which the use permit erelnarter ~escr~bed is sought (1) wall not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property'or improvements in the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. B~ The City of Portsmouth is hereby granting a use permit pursuant to Section 40-67 of the City Code to operate a group home on the property described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast intersection of Airline Boulevard and Race Street; thence East along the Southern right of way of Race Street a distance of 73' more or less to a point; thence South and parallel with Cumberland Avenue a distance of 108.5' more or less to a point; thence West and parallel with Race Street a distance of 120' more or less to a point; thence north and parallel with C~mber- land Avenues distance of ~ ~ ~r~ to a point located at thee r of way of Ariline BOulevard; thence north- easterly and parallel with the Sou of way of Airline Bo,~ ...... them right ~=~ a ~istance of ~I' more or less to the true point of beginn- ing; as shown on tha~ certain plat entitled "UP-75-1- on file in the Planning Department
