101 <br /> <br />A FcESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A 7.105 ACRE PARCEL OF <br />PROPERTY SITUATE, LYING AND BEING ON THE EAST SIDE OF CRAk~ORD <br />PARKWAY TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOP~IEIJT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, purchased a <br />certain herein described parcel of property for the purpose of develop- <br />ment in connection with the Crawford Harbor Development Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Crawford Harbor Development Plan has been <br />designed for' the City of Portsmouth and Portsmouth Redevelopment <br />and Housing Authority by Cossutta and Ponte, Architects-Planners; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEP~AS, the continued development of the aforesaid plan <br />is being implemented by the City of Portsmouth and Portsmouth <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority; and <br /> <br /> ~'~!EREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT P~SOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby <br />ms, authorized to convey the following described property to <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority: <br /> <br /> ALL that certain lot~ piece or parcel of land, <br /> with the appurtenances thereunto belonging, consist- <br /> ing of approximately 7.105 acres and lying, situate <br /> and being on the east side of Crawford Parkway in <br /> the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and more particularly <br /> described as follows~ to-wit: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point on the eastern line of <br />Crawford Street where said line is intersected by <br />the northern line of North Street as located prior <br />to closure of that street, and running thence North <br />87o01'45'' East, 256.59 feet along said northern line <br />of North Street to a point where said northern line <br />of North Street is intersected by the eastern line <br />of Water Street as located prior to the closure of <br />that street; thence South 2°58'15" East, 81.02 feet <br />to a point; thence North 86°32'45'~ East, 407.10 feet <br />to a point on the pierhead line in the Elizabeth River; <br />thence along said pierhead line North 4o59'59" West, <br />382.16 feet to a point; thence continuing along sa~d <br />pierhead line North 13°19'55:~ West, 171.19 feet ~o <br />a point in said pierhead line where the same is in- <br />tersected by the southern line of the property of <br /> <br /> <br />
