A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPt A TRANSFER <br />OF THE ASSETS OF THE PORTSMOUTH AREA MENTAL HEALTH CENTER, INC. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Portsmouth Area Mental <br />Health Center, Inc. have taken action by a resolution adopted <br />August 6, 1975, to liquidate the assets of said corporation- <br />and~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Portsmouth Area Mental <br />Health Center, Inc. have recommended that City Council accept <br />the conveyance of the assets including the land and improve- <br />ments at S34 Effingham Street; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, acceptance of the assets of the Portsmouth <br />Area Mental Health, Inc. with provision that the City would <br />give first consideration of use of such property for a minimum <br />of ten years for mental'health purposes, will provide the basis <br />for continuing mental health services for residents of Ports- <br />mouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager is directed <br />and authorized on behalf of the City of Portsmouth to accept <br />the conveyance of the assets of the Portsmouth Area Mental <br />Health Center, Inc. to include the land and improvements at <br />334 Effingham Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia~ ar a meeting held August 19, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
