A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE LOW BID AND LOW BID- <br />DER FOR CONSTRUCTION STAGE II, ROUTE 164, WESTERN FREEWAY <br />(WESTERN FREEWAY BRIDGE) AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />SIGN THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE LOW BID AND THE CITY CLERK TO AT- <br />TEST THE EXECUTION OF SUCH CONCURRENCE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by agreement dated November 21, 1975, the <br />City of Portsmouth must concur in the award of contracts for <br />construction of the Western Freeway; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the apparent low bid and Iow bidder for <br />construction Stage II is E. V. Williams Company, Incorporated, <br />Virginia Beach, Virginia. <br /> <br /> ~fHEREAS, said low bid and low bidder has been accept- <br />ed by the Department of t{ighways. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the low bid of E. V. Williams <br />Company, Incorporated, for construction Stage II, Route 164, <br />Western Freeway, be, and the same hereby is approved and accept- <br />ed. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is here- <br />by authorized to sign the acceptance of the low bid and the <br />City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest the execution of such <br />concurrence. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held July 13, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
