A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMEND~IENT NO. 2 TO THE OLDE TOWNE CON- SERVATION PLAN, FOR THE OLDE TO%~qE CONSERVATION PROJECT, Va. R-49. WHEREAS, this Council by resolution adopted May 14, 1968 approved a Conservation Plan for the Olde Towne Conserva- tion Project, Va. R-49, Portsmouth, Virginia, which plan was amended on September 11, 1973; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body, for consideration and approval~ a copy of an amended Conservation Plan for the pro~ect area, dated February, 1976, which plan con- sists of 22 pages and 3 exhibits; and WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2 proposes to delete certain property from the project area and to add such property to the Crawford Urban Renewal Project~ Va. R-53; and ~REAS, the Portsmout~ Redevelopment and Rousing Au- thority has resolved that this Amendment is in the best interest of the City's renewal effort; and WHEREAS, said Amendment No. 2 has been carefully review- ~d and said Conservation Plan conforms to the general plan for de- velopment of the City of Portsmouth as a whole; and ~4EREAS, in the judgment of this Council it is in the interest of the City and its inhabitants that'the said Amendn%ent be approved. NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That Amendment No. 2 to the Conservation Plan for the Olde Towne Conservation Project, Va. R-49, having been duly reviewed and considered, it is hereby found: ao That the objectives of the Olde To%~e Conserva- tion Project, Va. R-49~ Portsmouth, Virginia, can be better achieved by the adoption of said amendment. b. That Amendment No. 2 for the project area con- forms to the general plan for the City of Portsmouth as a whole. 2. That Amendment No. 2 to the Olde Towne Conservation Plan for the Olde Towne Conservation Project, Va. R-49, having been duly reviewed and considered, is hereby approved and the City
