119 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CITY- OWNED PROPERTY TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY (1120 HOLLIDAY STREET, PARK VIEW CONSERVATION AND REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, BLOCK 7, PARCEL 16). ~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth owns a certain hereinafter described parcel of real property within the boundaries of the Park View Conservation and Redevelopment ProDect; and WHEREAS, the parcel is no longer needed by the City of Portsmouth and is hereby declared surplus; and WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority desires to purchase said parcel of property for the price of Sixteen Hundred and 00/100 ($1,600.) Dollars for the purpose of incorporating the same with adjacent property in the conservation and redevelopment areas; and WHEREAS, Section 2.09(c) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth provides that the City may convey property to the Commonwealth of Virginia or a political subdivision thereof, without advertisement and without receiving bids; and WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey the following described property to Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority: All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north side of Holliday Street, 143 feet west from the north- west intersection of Holliday Street and Pearl Street; thence running west and along the north side of Holliday Street, 30 feet; thence north and parallel with Pearl Street 106 feet; thence east and parallel with Holliday Street, 30 feet; thence south and parallel with Pearl Street, 106 feet to the Point of Beginning.
