117 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD COMPANY FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING AN EASE~iENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, <br />ALTERATION AND ~AINTENANCE OF SYER ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEP~AS, the City of Portsmouth desires to alter <br />and extend Syer Road across a certain parcel of-land owned <br />by the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company; and <br /> <br /> WHE_~EAS, the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company <br />has agreed to permit the use of said property for the con- <br />struction and maintenance of a street across said railroad <br />property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, <br />and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with <br />the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company for the purpose <br />of obtaining an easement for the construction, alteration <br />and maintenance of Syer Road. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia at a meeting held October 26, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
