A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE TIDEWATER TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT <br />COMMISSION TO INSTITUTE NECESSARY PROCEEDINGS TO SET THE FARE <br />AT TWE~,~Y-FIVE CENTS FOR THE NAVAL SHIPYARD LOOP AS AN EX- <br />TENSION OF THE ELIZABETH RIVER TUNNEL BUS SERVICE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Tidewater Transportation Commission's <br />District Executive Director has recom.mended a new fare of <br />Twenty-Five (25) Cents for a proposed new Naval Shipyard <br />bus servmce; and <br /> WHEREAS, this City Council has carefully considered <br />the benefits of such Naval Shipyard loop. <br /> BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that it requests the Tidewater Trans- <br />Portation District Com~misszon to institute necessary proceedings <br />to set the fare at Twenty-Five (25) Cents for the Naval Shipyard <br />loop as an extension of the Elizabeth River Tunnel bus servmce. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> Virginia, at a meeting held October 12, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
