83 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 'iH CITY MANAGk~ TO CCkNVEY CiTY-OWNED PROPERTY <br />TO THE PORTSMOLTfH PORT AND tNDUSTR/ILL CiI~MISS!ON. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth desires to convey to the Ports- <br />raouth Port And Industrial Cca~ssion a certain parcel of property <br />~nich is hereinafter described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said parcel ms no longer needed by the City of <br />Portsmouth and is hereby declsred to be excess; and <br /> <br /> ~%EAS, Section 2.O9(c) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth <br />provides that the City may convey property to the Ccnlmonwealth of Vir- <br />ginia or any political subdivision thereof, without advertisement and <br />without receiving bids; and <br /> <br /> ~74EREAS, the Portsmouth Port ArJ /~ndustrial Ccur~ission is a political <br />subdivision of the Cc~monwealth of ~Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~.~by the Comncil of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized <br />to convey the following described property to the Portsmouth Port And <br />Industrial Commission: <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, sit~ate <br />lying and be~-ng in the City of Portsmouth, VirgJm~a, <br />bounded and described ms follows: <br /> <br /> Begir~Lng at a point, said point being 57.66 feet <br />west of Station 12 plus 53.06 on the c~nterline of the <br />nortl~est ramp as refere~nced on the VirgLnia Dep~r~T~nt <br />of Highways and Transportation Project Route No.- 58 <br />Project No. 0058-124-102, C-501, PE-tO1, Hight of Way <br />Sheet No. 11 as recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br />Ciromit Cou=~t of the City of Portsmouth in Map Book 6, <br />Page 31; frcm said Point of Beginning S41°10'29" west <br />22.25 feet to a point; thence S54°55'26" east 14.94 feet <br />to a point; thence NO5°25'44" east 25.45 fee% to the <br />Point of Begirm/ng.
