A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE CONSERVATION AND REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE MOUNT HERMON CONSERVATION AND REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, VA. R-69. WHEREAS, this Council by resolution adopted September 12, 1972 approved a Conservation and Redevelopment Plan for the Mount Hermon Conservation and Redevelopment Project, VA. R-69; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body for con- sideration and approval, a copy of an amended Conservation Plan for the project area, dated March, 1977, which plan con- sists of 19 pages; and WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has resolved that this amendment is in the best interest of the City's renewal effort; and WWHEREAS, said Amendment No. 2 has been carefully reviewed and said Conservation Plan conforms to the general plan for de- velopment of the City of Portsmouth as a whole; and WHEREAS, in the judgment of this Council, interest of the City and its inhabitants that be approved. it is in the said amendment NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmoutht Virginia: t. That Amendment No. 2 to the Conservation Plan and Re- development Plan for the Mount Hermon Project, VA. R-69, having been duly reviewed and considered, it is hereby found: (a) That the objectives of the Mount Hermon Conserva- tion and Redevelopment Project, VA..R-69 can be better achieved by the adoption of said amendment. (b) That Amendment No. 2 for the project area conforms to the general plan for the City of Portsmouth. 2. That Amendment No. 2 to the Mount Hermon Conservatio~ and Redevelopment Plan, VA. R-69 is hereby approved and the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of said amendment with the minutes of this meeting.
