A RESOLUTION APPROVING AM~NDM~V~ NO. 4 TO THE CONSERVATION ~ RE- D~v~ELOPMENT PLAN FOR ',.I.'~..~ PARK ¥I~W CC~SERVATtON AND R~DEVELOPMENT PROJECT VA. R-48. W~I~k~AS, this Council by resolution adopted July 9, 1968, approved a Conservation and Redevelopment Piton for the Park View Cc~servation an~ Redevelopment Project, IrA~ R-48, Portsmouth, Virginia, which plan has been amended previously; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this body for consideration and approval, a copy of an amended CoD~ervation Plan for the project area, dated March, 1977, which plan consists of 19 pages and 3 exhibits; and WTq~REAS, the Portsmouth Redevelotxaent aD~t Nmusing Authority has resolved that th_is amendment is in the best i~terest of the City's renewal effort; and WHEREAS, said Amendment No. 4 ~as been carefully reviewed and said Conservation Plan conforms to the general-plan for development of the City of Portsmouth as a whole; and WHEREAS, in the judgment of this Council, it is in the interest of the City and its inhabitants that the said amendment be approved. I~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. ~at Ameux~nt No. 4 to the Conservation Plan and Redevelop- ment Plan for the Park View Project, ~A. R-48, having been duly reviewed and considered, it is hereby found: (a) That the objectives of the Park View Censervation and Redevelopmsnt Project, %-A. R-48, Portsmouth, Virginia, can be better achieved by the adoption of said ams~dment. (b) That Amendment No. 4 for the project area ccD_forms to the general plan for the City of Portsmouth as a Sole. 2. That Amendment No. 4 to the Park .View Conservation and Redevelop- ment Plan, VA. R-48, having been duly reviewed and considered, is hereby approved and the City Clerk is hereby directed to.file a copy of said Amemx~ent with the Minutes of this meeting.
