115 <br /> <br />A RESOII/fION EXPANDING THE MEM~k~q~IP OF the "MAYOR'S CO~i~l'±'l'~:~: CN THE <br />~LALNDICAPPED". <br /> <br /> WHERE~, by a resolution adopted by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, on July 26, 1977, the "F~yor's C~LuJttee on the <br />Handicapped" was created for the purpose of advising ~and .informing the <br />public and private sectors of the Ci~ of Portsmouth and environs of the <br />probl~ns facing handicapped persons; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said resolution provided t/~t such Committee was to <br />have no Eore than seven (7) members; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the interest expressed in the work of said C~Lu~ttee <br />justJ_fies an expansion of its membership. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that the m~mbership of the "Mayor's Cc~amittee on the <br />Handicapped" bet aund the s~m~ hereby is, expapx~ed ho include not less <br />than seven (7~) and not more than fifteen (15)-members, one-third of the <br />ra~mbers to be appointed for a one (1) year term, one-~ for a two (2) <br />year term, and the remaining one-third for a three (3) year term. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held November 22, 1977. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
