108 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ~I~DORSING ~'~ I FOR THE CONSTRUCTtC~ OF ~ PROPOSED <br />THIRD CROSSING OF THE ELL~ RIVER AS PAt~ OF 1-264. <br /> <br /> B~EREAS, after mature consideration~ it is the opinion of the <br />Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Alternate I of the <br />proposed third crossing of the Elizabeth River is the most feasible plan <br />providing for a parallel tunnel and parallel bridge south of the existing <br />tunnel and bridge° <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia~ that the Council endorses Alternate I for the <br />Construction of the proposed third crossing of the Elizabeth River as <br />part of 1-264. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held November 8, 1977. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
