A RESOLUTIOlq ~PPOII~TI~G VIEP~RS FOR' CLOSII~G THE FOLLOWING S~REET: A PORTION OF KING STREET. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to .~a~ate, c~ose and discontinue the hereinafter described portion efa certain street, and it ~ppearing that No~ice of Application and request for the Appointment of Viewers was duly posted Septen~er 30, 1977 on the bulletin board of the Gen'eral District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Ports- ~mouth and the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of PortsPno~th, Virginia, that Frank N. B~lisoly, Job~ ~{. Griffin, James Choate, Raymond ~.~eed, Colonel Henry P. Cro%~e ~an'd zalmon Btacl~lan be appointed an alternate vie%ver in the event one of the preceding vie%-~e~s fail to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such street and to report to this Council in writing ,~hether in their opinion any, and if any, %~hat inconvenience would result in vac~a%in~ and closing the following: King Street at a Beginnmng at t. he northwest corner of lRiddle :-}~iall and ~{ing Stseet; ~}~ence .west along the north- ern right-of-way of King Street 84.0'; thence south 30' to the southern right-of-way line of King Street; thence east along said ri~ht-of~way lin~ 29~ feet to a point; thence north 30.0' to a point in the north- ern ri~ht+Of~way lin'e of .Ring Street; thence ~,~est along ti~e northern right-of-%..~ay line of King Street approximately 210' to the Point of Orgin.
