A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO WEST PARK CHURCH OF <br />CHRIST TO OPERATE A DAY CARE CENTER ON C~_ARITY ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, West Park Church of Christ, pursuant to Section <br />40-75[b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, <br />has applied for the granting of a use pezuuit as hereinafter <br />described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have <br />done all things required to be done in connection with said <br />application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the <br />granting of said use permit. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> (1) That the use for which the use permit hereinafter <br />is sought: <br /> <br /> (a) Will not adversely affect the health and <br />safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood <br />of the proposed use; and <br /> <br /> (h) <br />or injurious <br />hood; and <br /> <br /> Will not be detrimental to the public use <br />to the property or improvements in the neighbor- <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accord with the purposes of the <br />Zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br /> (2) West Park Church of Christ is hereby granted a use <br />permit pursuant to Section 40-75(b) of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouthr Virginiar 1973, to operate a day care center <br />on the property described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning on the north side of Cherokee <br />Road approximately 298' west with its inter- <br />section with Jewel Avenue; thence northerly <br />258.12' to a point; thence westerly 341.92' <br />to a point; thence southerly 286.23' to the <br />north right of way of Cherokee Road; thence <br />easterly along said right of way approximately <br />260' to the point of origin. <br /> <br />(3) Such use permit is granted upon-the following con- <br />ditions. <br /> <br /> <br />
