~3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1978-79 TRANSIT SERVICE PROGRAM <br />PRESENTED BY THE TIDEWATER TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT COM~4IS$ION. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth is a member of the Tide- <br />water Transportation District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the agreement between the <br />City of Portsmouth and the Tidewater Transportation District <br />Commission, the Commission has proposed a Transit Service <br />Program for FY 1978; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Commission rules and the <br /> policy of the City of Portsmouth, a joint public hearing was <br /> held by the City and the Commission on the proposed Transit <br /> Service Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds provided within the <br /> City's operating budge% for FY 78-79 in order to facilitate <br /> the proposed Transit Service Program. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br /> of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the 1978-79 Transit Service Pro- <br /> gram illustrated on City of Portsmouth Transportation Docu- <br /> ment TSP 78-1, is hereby approved. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> at a meeting held June 27~ 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
