24 <br /> <br />A RESOLIFfION APPOtNT/NG ~ FOR CLOSING THE FOLLC~^riNG: A PORTION <br />OF AN UNNA~ LANE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has <br />made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter <br />described portion of certain streets, and it appearing that Notice <br />of Application end request for the ~Lppointment of Viewers was duly <br />posted March 29, 1978 on the bulletin board of the General District <br />Court, civil Division, of the City of Portsmout~h and the bulletin <br />board of the Circuit Court of the City of portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by tb~ Co~nucil of the City of <br />PortSmOUth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Simond P. Arrington, <br />L. A. Clark, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and Raymond T~ed be <br />appointed an alternate viewer in the event one of the prececling <br />viewers fail to participate, said viewers to view t_b~ hereinafter <br />described po~-~ion of such street and to report to th_is Council in <br />writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, ~hat inconvenience <br />would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> UNNAMED LANE. All that certain piece or parcel <br /> of land, lying and being in the City of portsmouth, <br /> Virginia, and comprising that portion of an urmamed <br /> land as shown on a plat entitled: "Plat Sh~{ing <br /> Land To Be Closed, Portsmou~, Virginia For Mt. <br /> Hermon Conservation & Redevelopment Project, VA. R-69," <br /> prepared by E. Stuart Ball & Associates, Ltd., Sur- <br /> veyors and Plaonaers, Portsmouth, Virginia, dated <br /> January 3, 1978, a copy of ~ch is attached hereto. <br /> <br /> ALSO DESCRIBED AS: Beginning 143 feet west from <br /> the northwest corner of Douglas Avenue and Qu~en <br /> Street (now closed); thence north 224.11 feet; thence <br /> west 9 feet; thence south 223.43 feet; thence east 9 <br /> feet to the point of origmn. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br /> meeting held April 11, 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />Cit]~ Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
