A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ¥1~WERS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREETS: PA~'~:~, <br />t - A PORTION OF INDUSTRIAL AV~70E, PARCEL II - A PORTION OF BRtGP~ON <br />STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREASr the City of Portsmouth has made application to vacate, close <br /> and d~mcontinue Parcel I and II, t_he hereinafter described portions of <br /> certain streets, and it appearing that Notice of Application and request <br /> for the Appointmsnt of View,rs was duly posted January 18, 1978 on the <br /> bulletin ~oard of the City Hall Building of the City of Portsmouth, the <br /> bulletin board of the General District Court, civil Division, of the <br /> City of Po~th and the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City <br /> of Portsmouth. - <br /> <br /> NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Rev. J. R. Wilkerson, Belvin <br />W. Blachnan, Harrison Miller, Charles R. Hudgins be appointed viewers <br />and Robert Reed be appointed~ an- alternate viewer in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the herein- <br />· after described portions of such streets and to report to this Council <br /> in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience <br /> would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> PARCEL I - INDUSTRIAL AVENUE <br /> <br /> All that portion of Industrial Avenue north of <br />Wesley Street as shown on Tax Plate 100 and being fur- <br />ther described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northeast intersection of Indust- <br />rial Avenue and. Wesley Street; thence running north <br />approximately 235'; thence west 60'; thence south <br />235'; thence east 60' to the point of beg/nnir~. (S-77-30) <br /> <br />PAt~'~:~. II - BRIGHTON STRE~'I' <br /> <br /> Beginn/ng at the nort/~west right of way line of the <br />intersection of Elm Avenue and Brighton Street; thence <br />west along the north right of ~ray line of Brighton Street <br />to the east right 10f way line of Camden Avenue; thence <br />south 35 feet to the south right of way line of Brighton <br />Street; thence east alc~g the south right of way line of <br />Brighton Street to the west right of way line of Elm Ave- <br />nue; thence north 35 feet to the north right of way line <br />of Brighton Street, the Point of Beginning.
