57 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PEW{IT TO ITT GWALTNEY, INC. TO OPEP~ATE A FOOD PROCESSING (RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT) AND WAREHOUSING PLANT ON EI24HURST LANE. WHEREAS, ITT Gwaltney, Inc., pursuant to Section 40-68.1(e) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia~ 1973, has petitioned for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connectmon with said appli- cation; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reco/~e~de~ the gr, ant±ng of said use permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: (i) sought: That the use for which the permit hereinafter is (a) Will not adversely of persons residing or working in proposed use; affect the health and safety the neighborhood of the (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood; and (c) Will be mn accord with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. (2) ITT Gwaltney, Inc. is hereby granted a use permit pursuant to Section 40-68.1(e) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, to operate a food processing (research and development) and warehousing plant on the property described as follows: Beginning at a point at the northeast intersection of Garwood Avenue and Elmhurs~ Lane and thence in a northeasterly direction 670.27 feet to a point; thence in a north- westerly direction 182.20 feet; thence in a southwesterly direction along Phillipine Street 53.9 feet; thence northwesterly 153.95 feet; thence northeasterly 57.03 feet; thence northwesterly 270.39 feet; thence southwester-
